BBP & Greenprint Foundation Alliance
In January 2011 the BBP and Greenprint Foundation formed an alliance to advance our common goal to reduce carbon emissions from and improve the sustainability of their members’ property portfolios and, by example, the entire property industry.
Together, our membership represents approximately US$480 billion (£300 billion, €352 billion) of assets under management. Both organisations work together by sharing knowledge and promoting and supporting each other’s work in the sustainability field. One of the most significant aspects of the alliance is the participation of BBP members in Greenprint’s Carbon Index™ which ensures that the Index, already one of the largest global measurements of real estate’s carbon footprint, contains a significant number of London’s buildings. This initiative is an important step towards understanding how buildings in cities across the world perform.
