Fiera Real Estate joins BBP and signs up to ground-breaking Climate Commitment

It has been announced today that Fiera Real Estate has joined the Better Buildings Partnership and signed up to the BBP’s Climate Commitment. In doing so, Fiera become the 37th Commitment signatory, and the eighth organisation to join the commitment this year. 

Fiera Real Estate’s pathway to net zero covers Scope 1,2 and 3 emissions, with a target of being Net Zero Carbon by 2035, 15 years ahead of the Paris Agreement and UK Government targets. As part of formulating their strategy to achieve net zero carbon, Fiera have compiled individual asset plans for each site. Fiera’s pathway highlights the success the business has had in gathering tenant data, with 85% of occupier utility data collected for the year ending 2020. Access their pathway here.  

Fiera Real Estate’s UK division is part of a global real estate investment management platform focusing on both creating and actively managing core assets for investors. The UK business was founded in 1992 and directly manages c.£980million of principally commercial real estate assets. 

With a strong commitment to responsibly impacting the wellbeing of the planet, people and communities, Fiera Real Estate UK and its shareholders have also raised over £600,000 for charities including LandAid, Duty to Care and Grace Academy, to create a positive long-lasting impact. 

To support signatories of the BBP Climate Commitment, the BBP has published the Net Zero Carbon Pathway Framework and Climate Resilience Guide.
