Assura Join Better Buildings Partnership as Latest Member

The Better Buildings Partnership (BBP) welcomes Assura plc as its latest member, expanding the membership to 56 leading property owners, representing over 340bn assets under management (AUM).

Assura plc, is a national specialist property company, overseeing a portfolio of more than 600 healthcare buildings nationwide, representing £2.7 billion in assets under management (AUM) and serving over six million patients.

Specialising in the health care sector, Assura's portfolio includes GP surgeries, medical centres, and health hubs. The company's commitment to community well-being is further exemplified through the Assura Community Fund, which supports health-improving projects in the communities surrounding their buildings.

Alongside their commitment to community health, Assura is dedicated to environmental sustainability. In 2017, Assura launched the UK's inaugural medical centre designed to be net zero carbon in operation. In May this year, Assura published their net zero carbon pathway, which commits them to achieve a net zero carbon portfolio by 2040, with a pledge that all new developments will achieve net zero carbon status by 2026. 

As a new member of BBP, Assura joins a dynamic community of organisations dedicated to collaborative efforts addressing common challenges, sharing valuable insights, and identifying innovative solutions within the commercial real estate sector.
