On Thursday, 11th July, the BBP invited the property owners, occupiers and design consultants to Landsec's new headquarters in Victoria for the launch of the BBP Responsible Fit-Out Toolkit to hear how it will be used by BBP members and the wider property industry.
Workplace design has the power to communicate brand culture and identity. A fit-out therefore plays a pivotal role in demonstrating a businesses values and can have an immense impact on the comfort and productivity of those working within and visiting a space.
Incorporating sustainability principles within an office fit-out presents numerous opportunities to both property owners and occupiers, with the potential to enhance staff wellbeing and performance, attract and retain talent, minimise running costs, reduce regulatory compliance risk and protect property value, whilst reducing carbon emissions and environmental footprint.
To support owners and occupiers in identifying and acting upon these opportunities, the Better Buildings Partnership is launching its Responsible Office Fit-Out Toolkit. Based on the collective thinking of our membership, this latest toolkit sets out the considerations to be addressed from project inception through to construction and operation, outlining key design principles and highlighting innovative case studies.
