The BBP is delighted to welcome Brookfield Properties to its membership.

Brookfield Properties develops and operates real estate investments on behalf of Brookfield Asset Management, one of the largest alternative asset managers in the world. The organization currently operates more than 675 properties and 320 million square feet of high-quality sustainability focused real estate assets around the globe, including more than five million square feet of commercial space in the City of London.

Brookfield Properties is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment and this is reflected in the management of sustainability issues across its portfolio, with widespread adoption of sustainability standards including LEED, BREEAM and WELL. Brookfield’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) strategy has four key pillars focused on mitigating the impact of operations on the environment; being good stewards of the communities in which they operate; ensuring the wellbeing and safety of employees and conducting business according to the highest ethical and legal standards.

Brookfield Properties also has a strong focus on community stewardship around ESG. Arts Brookfield, its public arts program, has been an industry leader for 30 years, and Brookfield Cares, its philanthropic endeavor, works extensively with an array of charity partners, including ELHAP and Fat Macy’s, to support their programs financially as well as lend real estate assistance to their operations, including lease negotiation, construction build and supply chain support.
